Influencers from Abraham to Zebaoth - a poster exhibition in 22 pictures. The Arndt Museum is also presenting a new themed area within the permanent exhibition. The focus here is on Arndt's engagement with hymns. Rarely exhibited objects from our collection round off the religious context.
What does the Bible tell us today? The exhibition offers a new look at the characters in the Bible. Cheeky, colorful and creative, it links the biblical figures of the Holy Scriptures with our world today. The show plays with pop culture references and quotes from social media and film, combines biblical stories with current socio-political debates and invites visitors to engage with the characters in the Bible.
The exhibition plays with different genres and themes both visually and in terms of content. The poster motifs provoke and irritate: They present art-historical motifs from different centuries, quoting poems as well as tweets or songs. The exhibition also has a digital extension.
