The two orchestras will perform in a festive concert on October 5 to mark the Day of German Unity.
This year, the nationwide celebrations for the Day of German Unity will take place in Schwerin. The ceremony on October 3 will be broadcast live from the Staatstheater. The Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle Schwerin and the State Youth Orchestra of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will provide the musical backdrop. The two orchestras will perform in a festive concert on October 5 to mark the Day of German Unity. Under the musical direction of GMD Mark Rohde and Stanley Dodds, Artistic Director of the M-V State Youth Orchestra, young musicians and professionals will perform a program dedicated entirely to young people.
