The 'Dezernat5- Gallery for Contemporary Art' is a producer gallery in Schwerin. The owners are both gallery owners and artists. Tino Bittner is a founding member of the gallery and has been part of the Dezernat5 artists' collective for 15 years.
In the SOLO PLEXUS exhibition, key works from different areas of work and creative phases and new works are brought together in a striking way.
Tino Bittner works with a variety of materials, including language, images and everyday objects. In a playful approach, he creates a multi-layered system in which he examines the reality of spaces and images, as well as their interaction in a situational context.
The title plays with the term 'solar plexus' (Latin), which refers to a plexus of nerves in the abdomen. It serves as a kind of control center that collects and concentrates energy and at the same time sends it out by serving as a point of origin for physical, emotional and spiritual power. Between the introspection of concentrated work (Solo) and the polyphonic resonance of a network of works (Plexus), which now unfolds in the synopsis.
