"Are you mad that Itookyour cookies as an eye for thesneaker?"
Despite the official curfew, there is a knock on Patrick's front door in the middle of a raging snowstorm. The lively Judith from the neighboring village snows in, looking for eggs and toast. With her bubbly nature and soaking wet boots, she brings disorder into Patrick's previously secluded, tidy life. As much as he hopes to get rid of this eccentric woman as quickly as possible, there's no end in sight to the snowstorm. They are snowed in and while Judith seems to be enjoying the enforced company, Patrick is trying not to go mad over cardboard pizza and vodka cherry cake. Will the ice between them melt?
The comedy Snowbound - the original title - about two lonely people who have to get along more or less involuntarily, was penned by West End and Broadway author Peter Quilter, who is known for his musical drama TheEnd of the Rainbow about Judy Garland's final years. Snowbound premiered in 2021 on national tours of Russia and Italy. This life-affirming play will have its Low German premiere at the Fritz-Reuter-Bühne.
