Cinema and discussion as part of the International Weeks against Racism in Greifswald. Documentary/ Clara Stella Hüneke / Germany / 2024 / 97 min.
The three friends Jamila, Rachel and Faseeha are part of Sisterqueens - a rap collective in Berlin's Wedding district. Accompanied by experienced female rappers, they find their own voice. Their lyrics are about feminism, discrimination and self-determination - topics that also shape their everyday lives. Over a period of three years, we immerse ourselves in their everyday worlds. Between rehearsals and their first concerts, the friends question social norms and support each other in going their own way.
The film will be followed by a discussion with the director and the film's protagonists.
