Musical-literary program with Annelie Kaduk (texts), Bärbel Röhl (vocals), Gerhard A. Schiewe (accordion)
The former editor and painter Annelie Kaduk is showing portraits, subjects and collages that deal with the light and dark sides of a woman's life alongside her end-time paintings in the Haus des Gastes gallery until the beginning of June.
Following the vernissage - on April 11 at 6.30 pm - she will present a literary-musical program entitled "Schattenfrau - Schon längst nicht mehr" together with the actress and singer Bärbel Röhl and the musician Gerhard A. Schiewe. It is about the life and literary work of the writers Valerie Radtke (1913 - 1999), Charlotte Worgitzky (1934 - 2018) and Maxie Wander (1933 - 1977), whose publications Annelie Kaduk supervised. In essayistic reflections, we hear about the longing of artistically active women; about creativity and dreams, the realization of which demands a great deal of strength in everyday life and in the cultural sector. Moreover, asserting oneself from the shadow of male dominance remains an eternal theme.
Bärbel Röhl accompanies Annelie Kaduk's biographical reflections with songs by Gerhard Schöne, Uschi Brüning, Ulla Meinecke and Edith Piaf, among others, and selected texts. The well-known German musician Gerhard A. Schiewe plays wonderful sounds on the accordion.
It is also possible to attend the vernissage of Annelie Kaduk's exhibition from 6.30 pm.
