An evening with Clara and Robert - a partnership of two geniuses!
At the 7th KON-Takte concert on Friday, 11.10.2024 at 7 pm in the Brigitte Feldtmann Saal of the Schwerin Conservatory in Puschkinstraße 6, Yuko Ellinger (piano), Matthias Ellinger (violin) and Sophia Dimitrow (cello) will be performing exclusively selected compositions written by Clara and Robert Schumann.
The first part features solo works for violin and cello and piano. The second part is filled by the four-movement Piano Trio in G minor Op. 17 by Clara Schumann, which is considered to be her greatest chamber music work. It comes across with a warm, romantic-melancholic sound. We know from diaries and letters that it was important to her to "flatter the audience". The famous violinist Joseph Joachim confessed to the composer in 1860: "I remember a fugato in the last movement - and that Mendelssohn once... had great fun with it, that I didn't want to believe that a capable woman could compose something like that, so serious and capable."
So come and see for yourself the beauty of the compositions of both geniuses! Admission to the event on 11.10.2024 costs 12 euros, concessions 8 euros. Tickets can be reserved by emailing Ms. Semlow at dsemlow@schwerin.de. Access to the Brigitte Feldtmann Saal is barrier-free.
