FIM Youth World Championship
Rattling engines in a charming landscape are a tradition here and not a contradiction in terms. After all, exciting races have been held on the Bergring - Europe's most beautiful grass racetrack - since 1930. Last year, Teterow was given the official nickname "Bergringstadt". And motorsport fans can look forward to a series of great events on the ring and in the neighboring Bergring-Arena in 2024: In addition to the cult race on the 1877 m long grass track, the completely renovated 314 m long neighboring Speedway-Arena will once again be the venue for several international predicate races. On June 22, 2024, the oval in the Heidbergen will host both semifinal races of the FIM Youth World Championship. This U16 World Championship was relaunched in 2022 as Speedway Grand Prix 3 in collaboration with promoter Discovery Sports and the FIM World Federation. A purely international women's speedway race, the so-called "Womens Trophy" under the direction of the FIM, is also being discussed for this weekend.
