Sebastian Knauer & Johannes Strate

Both have written music history in their respective genres, fill the biggest concert halls and arenas and are acclaimed by their audiences. Johannes Strate and Sebastian Knauer have been friends for a long time, and now they are performing together on stage. They combine their different musical homes of classical music and pop to create an incomparable sound that gets under your skin and delights fans from both universes. Their joint concert debut at the completely sold-out Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg last year cried out for more, so Johannes Strate and Sebastian Knauer will finally be performing throughout Germany in the fall of 2024.
The program includes virtuoso interpretations of pieces such as George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue", as well as piano works by Eric Satie and Maurice Ravel, right alongside Revolverheld top 10 hits such as "Lass uns gehen", "Ich lass für Dich das Licht an" and songs from Strate's solo album "Die Zeichen stehen auf Sturm". Fabian Richter, arranger and pianist for "The Voice", has arranged the songs, in which the two stars Strate and Knauer are accompanied by a five-piece string ensemble, exclusively for this line-up.
The fascination of this special duo lies in its flowing contours: here, classical music does not simply begin where pop ends, or vice versa, but it is the musical fusion of both worlds that overwhelms and enchants the audience.
