This is how summer goes: sun, beach and sea, culture and culinary delights, love and life - all combined at the traditional Sellin Sea Bridge Festival.
The Sellin pier is a grande dame of resort architecture. That is why every year at the end of July a festival is held in its honor. In the evening, when bands and DJs perform on the specially erected large beach stage, there is open air dancing. Fun and sports, culinary and culture, children's games and art, concert and cool drinks in the warmed sand are promised!
It starts on Saturday, July 29 from 15.00 with artistry by Arne Lifson. From 16.00 Jan and Josefine from Theater Phoebus will perform the play "The Little Mermaid" for children.
Rocking is then from 17.30 clock with the band "Faltenrock". As a headliner, the electropop band ClockClock will be on stage from 8 p.m. on July 29.
On Sunday, July 30, it starts at 4 p.m. with the KIECK children's theater. The Rostock guys from Les Bummms Boys will be washing up good vibes from 18.00. From 20.00 o'clock the popular folk rock band Versengold will make the day at the sea unforgettable for the Selliners and their guests. Finally, at 11 p.m. the fireworks will light up the Sellin sky.
The backdrop suitable for the celebration is the illuminated silhouette of the pier, its turrets and pavilions, which were built 27 years ago on the 394-meter-long pier and since then are considered the landmark of the second largest Baltic resort on the island of Rügen.
