Piano and saxophone
There are many parallels in the lives of the two native Potsdamers. Born in the constellation Taurus, they attended the same municipal music school and then studied at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin - one singing and piano, the other saxophone and clarinet.
Both found their musical home for many years in East German formations, one in the Petra Zieger Band, the other with Keimzeit. Today, they both live in Potsdam again.
Ralf Benschu, saxophone:
Studied saxophone and clarinet at the "Hanns Eisler" Academy of Music. He became known to a wider audience through his long-standing membership of the band Keimzeit. He is currently touring with projects in the fields of jazz, classical music and tango e.g. with singer-songwriter Gerhard Schöne, the Friedrichstadtpalast orchestra and Meier's Clan saxophone quartet.
Andreas Schulte, piano:
Studied singing and piano at the "Hanns Eisler" Academy of Music. He became known as a composer, producer and keyboardist with the Petra Zieger Band. He has composed and produced for singers such as Jonny Logan and has worked with many well-known artists, e.g. Earth Wind & Fire. His live performances include an Elton John tribute show.
