The salt run Bad Sülze-Marlow leads along the historically documented salt road and connects the towns of Bad Sülze and Marlow.
The 3.Salzlauf starts on Saturday the 25.11.23 in the green town of Marlow and leads from there on the Old Salt Road to Bad Sülze. All runners start at the sports hall/school in Marlow, pass the church and the historic town hall on the market square, and then run through the town down into the Recknitz valley. The half marathon course leads to the market square with the town hall and church to
Bad Sülze and back from there. All other routes turn accordingly earlier. After the successful participation all runners will receive a handmade medal and a certificate. If possible, the award ceremony will take place in the gymnasium Marlow.
Of course there will be a classification for walkers, runners and wheelchair users. However, we have cancelled the 15 km distance and now offer you the classic: 2 km, 5 km, 10 km and the half marathon distance. A special challenge is certainly the climb on the last meters in Marlow.
On 25.11.2023 the Recknitzallaufverein Eixen e.V. invites especially wheelchair users, with and without sportive ambitions, to the Recknitztal in Marlow. The "3rd Salt Run Marlow - Bad Sülze" is the latest project of the ambitious running club from the municipality of Eixen in Western Pomerania. Under the title "Overcoming Borders & Connecting Regions", especially runners & walkers with handicaps are invited to set out and venture on one of the many routes. However, the goal of the association is by no means to develop a handicapped sports event. Only the wheelchair users have their own 2 km and 5 km course, all other runners & walkers with and without handicap go together on the 2 km, 5 km, 10 km or half marathon course.
The idea of the running event to overcome borders not only in the heads or on paper, but also in normal life means integration, inclusion and participation, for all who enjoy sports together. Due to the current pandemic, the number of participants is limited to 300 starters and registration is only possible online at www.salzlauf.com, where you can also find further information about the run.
