Works by Bach, Handel and Brida
The Saxon Chamber Choir is one of the most renowned concert choirs for baroque repertoire! In Rheinsberg, the Leipzig ensemble is collaborating with the Young Märkisches Kammerorchester - a fantastic orchestral project in which young Brandenburg musicians come together to perform sacred works.
The program for this concert evening includes the dramatic psalm setting "Dixit Dominus", which the 21-year-old George Frideric Handel completed in Rome, as well as the motet "Der Geist hilf unser Schwachheit auf" by Johann Sebastian Bach. The "Sinfonia religiosa" by Giano Brida, a composer of the Romantic period, will also be performed - a long-forgotten musical jewel.
The musical direction is in the hands of Fabian Enders, who was nominated as "Conductor of the Year" for Opus Klassik 2023. He is a successful interpreter of symphonic and choral symphonic works and various rediscoveries.
