Christmas market at Stargard Castle with regional traders, stage program and a visit from Santa Claus
The "Romantic Castle Christmas" at Stargard Castle has been a firm fixture in the calendar of events for years and traditionally takes place on the 2nd Sunday in Advent. Once again this year, numerous guests from near and far are expected to come and get in the mood for Christmas in a special atmosphere.
The main attractions are the festively decorated medieval chapel and the castle courtyard, where various traders offer their regional products, handicrafts and treats of all kinds for sale. There are also other exhibitors to discover in the outer bailey and the so-called "ladies' wing". Anyone looking for individual gift ideas is sure to find what they are looking for here. There will be all kinds of sweet and savory treats to satisfy small and large appetites - from bratwurst and fish dishes to potato balls and lard cakes, there will be something for everyone. Hot drinks for young and old, such as mulled wine creations or drinking chocolate, are also a must in the wintry temperatures.
Children's eyes will light up when Santa Claus visits the lovingly decorated Christmas tree in the chapel to receive the wishes of our little guests. Next door in the vaulted cellar, we will meet the "fairy tale aunt", who will tell the children exciting stories. To give this contemplative event even more festive character, there is also a colorful stage program with live music, dances by the Stargard noblemen and local actors. The festive stollen cutting ceremony is also on the program.
Christmas hustle and bustle with lights and fire baskets against the historic backdrop of the castle creates a special, warm atmosphere and makes this day a highlight for the whole family in the run-up to Christmas. So mark December 8, 2024 in your calendar. We look forward to seeing you!
