A premiere is on the programme in the Baltic seaside resort of Binz on 30 December 2024. ‘Rolling Blues Revue’ is a live show with international stars of the rhythm & blues scene from Germany, England, Italy and Australia.
"Rolling Blues Revue" takes you on an unforgettable journey into the past of All American music from blues, boogie and rhythm & blues. Musically, the story is told from the country blues of the field workers to the juke joints and the glamor of the ballrooms of the Big City. Our journey takes you to Memphis, New York, Chicago and the West Coast.
The entertaining changes of actors are taken from the shows from the famous
Apollo Theater in New York and are wittily and charmingly presented by our
by our English presenter Roger Wade in German.
The idea for this music project came from Berlin drummer Micha Maass, who has curated the successful Blue Wave Festival in the Baltic resort of Binz for 27 years. He has already won the German Blues Award in the drums category four times. Under the direction of Roger C. Wade, a double album with international artists was released during the pandemic. The album has won several awards and has secured a place in the Haus der Geschichte in Bonn. Just in time for the premiere of the "Rolling Blues Revue", the music from these recordings is being released for the first time on all popular music platforms. This means you can not only enjoy the music at home, but also experience the performers live in Binz!
