Lyrical-musical afternoon to mark the 150th birthday of Rainer Maria Rilke.
Of course, the two - the poet Rainer Maria Rilke and the composer Frederic Chopin - never met. Rilke did not want his poems to be accompanied by music, let alone set to music, because he was afraid of the emotional power of music. Mandy Osterburg has read vast quantities of Rilke texts and put together an amusing, varied program. Together with the pianist Florian Fuecks, she ignores Rilke's rejection of music. In the exhibition from Bruchkante to Rocksaum with ink paintings by Anne Mundo and playful paper figurines by Heike Roesner.
