Martina Hefter reads from her book "Hey Guten Morgen, wie geht es dir?" moderated by Wolfram Pilz, cultural journalist
Martina Hefter has written a touching novel about needs and desires in life. And about how far you are prepared to go for love.
During the day, Juno helps her seriously ill husband Jupiter to cope with his everyday life. She is also an artist, dances and plays theater. And at night, when she once again can't sleep, she chats with love scammers on the internet.
The novel has been shortlisted for the German Book Prize 2024, received the Grand Prize of the German Literature Fund 2024, the Wiesbaden Literature Prize 2024 and has been nominated for the Bavarian Book Prize 2024.
Martina Hefter is an author and performer based in Leipzig. Her texts range between poems, scenic forms of writing and novels. She stages many of her texts in collaboration with other artists. She has published three novels and - published by kookbooks Berlin - five volumes of poetry. Most recently, "In die Wälder gehen, Holz für ein Bett klauen" was published in 2021.
