Join our rangers on a guided hike around Thiessow.
From the village of Thiessow, the hike takes you to the stone pier, which was built as a high bank protection in the early 1920s. From there, you climb the 36-metre-high Lotsenberg and learn exciting facts about pilotage in the south-east of Rügen and the history of the Thiessow pilot station.
Continue to the "Kleiner Königsstuhl" viewpoint, from where you can see the Greifswalder Oie, among other things. This was a restricted military area until 1990 and is now home to a bird ringing station.
The hike continues to the southernmost point of the Mönchgut, the "Endhaken". From here you have a view of both the Baltic Sea and the Greifswald Bodden. From here, you return to the starting point of the hike through the small fishing village.
Please remember to wear sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing. In the event of weather conditions that pose a risk to guests on the hike (e.g. storms), guided tours may be canceled by the ranger on site
