Discovery tour with a ranger from the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve.
The route leads through the former fishing and pilot village to the spa pavilion on the amber promenade, from where you can take a look at the 270-metre-long pier. Between the Göhren pier and the Nordperd lies the "Buskam", the largest boulder ever found in northern Germany, which rises about one meter out of the sea. On the subsequent path to the Nordperd, you will learn interesting facts about the plants and animals of the nature reserve of the same name.
Finally, you will reach the easternmost point of the Island of Rügen - the Nordperd. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Baltic resorts of Göhren, Baabe and Sellin as well as the Jasmund chalk cliffs on a clear day. The tour continues with a historical detour to the former Schwedenbrücke bridge. It served as a landing stage for ships in the early 19th century. Today, only remnants of the former structure remain.
The return route then leads over the Bakenberg with its impressive dry grasslands back to the starting point.
Please remember to wear sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing. In the event of weather conditions that pose a risk to guests on the hike (e.g. storms), guided tours may be canceled by the ranger on site
