Lecture "Storm surges - origin and effects"

Storm surge heights and damage have only been recorded since 1872. Today, all protective measures are measured against this year's devastating flood. A stone commemorates the village of Damerow, which was washed away. The last breakthrough between Koserow and Zempin was in December 1913. November 1995 saw one of the worst storm surges of the century. When will the next big flood come?
