Pilgrimage and kneipp
The starting point for the pilgrimage is Rehna Monastery. From the 13th to the 16th century, the convent was the religious center and at the same time the most important economic enterprise in the region. The preserved buildings still convey the spirituality of the place today.
We become aware of the importance of our feet for our mobility when we go on a pilgrimage. That is why this pilgrimage begins with treading water in the Kneipp pool in the monastery complex. After a prayer by Pastor Andreas Ortlieb and a period of silence in the former monastery church, we walk in silence to the village of Brützkow, take a short break on the so-called Klingenberg and then continue to Wedendorf. We also plan to walk in silence from Wedendorf to the village of Kirch Grambow. A guided tour of the church by Pastor Andreas Ortlieb and a lunchtime snack will break the silence and offer the opportunity for personal exchange.
The route then continues via Groß Hundorf and Köchelstorf to the Rehna cross on the memorial hill. The memorial also offers a wonderful view. A break especially for your feet is planned here. The last stage, which leads back to Rehna Monastery, ends with more water treading and barefoot walking. At the end, after a pilgrimage with longer periods of silence, we sing together in the church.
Please bring water, clothing suitable for the weather and a small towel.
