Acrylic painting on stretched canvas. Subject seascapes and coastal landscapes, cows, sheep, goats & co in front of and behind the dunes and dikes.
To "KunstOffen" Marianne Kindt opens the doors of her studio in Laage. Striking is the cheerfulness of the pictures, almost exclusively acrylic paint on canvas, in rich, bright color tones with receded graphics. Marianne Kindt's painting, to which she devoted herself mainly after 1990 through artistic training and studies at the Institute of Fine Arts and Art Therapy in Bochum in the field of painting and graphics, is fed by the perception of the reality of her environment. But in the creative process she extracts from the environment new insights that eventually become views. The act of painting, the creation, is not a one-dimensional process. Again and again it is examined, discarded and developed anew, in order to find the final form. In the process, new structures emerge, created from, for example, overpainted papers, modeling clay, and spackled paint. A new reality emerges from their sensations. Along the way, colors are spontaneously applied, scraped off, reapplied. On this fonderst the design of the picture gains its contours and invites the viewer to follow Marianne Kindt's sensations, or to find his own imaginative interpretation. Marianne Kindt prefers simple forms. Structures and lines are important means of expression that lead the viewer through the picture and build tension. The titles of the paintings are factual. They give the viewer a clear information about the work produced and food for thought to interpret the respective image.
