Children, Literature

The next picture book cinema "Es ging ein Fisch zu Fuß zur Post" by Johann König will take place on Tuesday, 13.02.2024 at 15:30 in the Grevesmühlen City Library. At the picture book cinema, children look at the pictures of a picture book together on a screen while the story is read to them. The children can experience imaginative and exciting stories together, discover details in the pictures and answer questions. In this way, they learn how to handle books, listen to and understand stories and are introduced to literature and reading in a playful way. All picture book cinemas are free of charge, start at 3:30 pm and last approx. 15 minutes. They are suitable for children aged 4 to 6.

It's the story of a fish who walks to the post office. He wants to know how much it costs to send a letter to the Mediterranean. But the friendly man at the counter needs the exact address. Which country should the letter go to? The fish turns pale, he doesn't know. The situation is tricky, because a letter cannot be sent without an address. But the letter carrier has an idea that saves the day. The adventurous journey in a message in a bottle to the Mediterranean and back begins.

Polly is an extraordinary cow. She finds just standing around in the meadow and chewing the cud boring. Polly would much rather do somersaults or dash across the meadow. Klara the chicken and Nase the rabbit are Polly's best friends. And spring is Polly's favorite time of year because it's Easter! Polly loves Easter time. She would love to help with the preparations. But how? The egg-laying thing just won't work and Polly can't hold a paintbrush between her hooves either. This book tells the story of how Polly finds out that she is a great artist after all and what she does to save Easter.

Ottilie quickly searches for a good hiding place. Paul and Anna quickly find it and take great care of their pet. They get some tasty flies from the pet shop and cuddle it in the doll's pram.
