Thomas Schulze - Piano
The lyric "let the good times roll" from Louis Jordan's blues song of the same name is the best description of the atmosphere that is created when Piano Schulze plays for his audience. The initial spark for his musical development was boogie woogie, a music with a deep blues feeling, full of energy and good humor. Piano
Schulze creates a sound on the piano in combination with his voice that does not lack a band. He has demonstrated this impressively at many festivals, most recently at the Hamburger Fabrik together with Axel Zwingenberger. Open to musical influences of all kinds, he has developed an unmistakable style. Inspiration
were boogie woogie, ragtime, Chicago blues and New Orleans jazz. The protagonists in Piano Schulze's career are musicians such as Albert Amons, Made Lux Lewis, Professor Longhair and Dr. John, to name but a few.
