Gerlint Böttcher plays pearls of piano music at Easter time
Gerlint Böttcher is a guest on many concert stages in Europe, America and the Middle East and performs as a soloist with renowned orchestras. Her playing is of "breathtaking class and dynamism", of "fragile emotionality" "of an excited sensitivity". She has received rave reviews from the specialist press for her recitals and as a soloist with renowned orchestras. This makes Gerlint Böttcher one of the successful German pianists who are also recognized abroad.
Many competition prizes, awards, CD recordings and numerous productions and live broadcasts by national and international television and radio stations mark her biography. Her awards include first prize at the International Chamber Music Competition "Isola di Capri"/Italy; second prize at the International Music Competition in Tortona/Italy; a diploma at the International Piano Competition "Maria Canals" in Barcelona/Spain; a medal and a diploma at the International Piano Competition in Cava de`Tirreni/Italy and support from the Gotthard Schierse Foundation Berlin.
In addition to her busy concert schedule, the pianist teaches at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and is co-initiator and artistic director of the Königs Wusterhausen Castle Concerts. As a juror of the international "Mendelssohn Piano Competition" in China, she has given concerts in Beijing, Xiamen and Zhengzhou and master classes at three universities in the country.
