Exhibition, Naturally Romantic
We are celebrating 250 years of the CDF and 25 years of the Michael Succow Foundation! For this we went into the moor with 5 artists. We would like to show our results. Come to the Domwiese to marvel and celebrate with us!
250 years of Caspar David Friedrich and 25 years of the Michael Succow Foundation - to celebrate this, the foundation offered four open-air art workshops under the motto "PEAToresk" in the Steinbeckervorstadt polder (model for the "Wiesen bei Greifswald"), i.e. directly in the (drained) moor, in English: PEATland! We painted in watercolor and acrylic, experimented with paludiculture materials and wrote poems. At our PEAToresk Closing Event on September 8th, the participants of our workshops will share their work and experiences together with the artists and workshop leaders Juliane Tübke and Alison Darby, Siljarosa Schletterer, Lene Schwarz and Anett Simon. Friedrich's "Wiesen bei Greifswald" will be brought to Greifswald's city center, close to his childhood home and his baptismal church, on Open Monument Day and Freidrich's Baptism Day. Come along and celebrate with us on the cathedral meadow, the art, the moor and the jubilarians! All interested parties are cordially invited!
