Enrico Pfahl loves fences. For years, he was just getting by with the family business, but those days are now over: fences are booming. He can hardly believe his luck and goes in search of traces of what makes us who we are between double wire mesh and gabions: What dreams are hidden behind wrought iron? And why is wire mesh so typically German? Enrico spends an evening passionately digging into the front gardens of our German soul, because those who know the fences also know the people.
