Double concert with Anna Pauline and Irma Neumüller
Anna Pauline interprets the most popular Swedish-language songs from the Astrid Lindgren films as a tribute to Georg Riedel, who created a new kind of children's music with his soundtrack compositions. Inspired by everything from Ella Fitzgerald to Joni Mitchell, she combines Scandinavian roots and jazz world music. She studied in Copenhagen and Malmö, toured worldwide and performed with greats such as Nils Landgren and Viktoria Tolstoy. In Greifswald, she will be accompanied by a trio from the jazz line of Skurup's folk high school. And she can sing in Danish too!
The singer and composer Irma Neumüller from Sweden brings a refreshing lightness to the stage with her swing jazz. With musical influences from Carmen McRae, Monica Zetterlund and Stevie Wonder, she delights the audience. Irma began her musical career as a cellist before devoting herself to jazz singing. In 2024, her debut album Introducing Irma Neumüller was released on the renowned Naxos/Prophone label to great acclaim. Her impressive vocal technique, especially in scat singing, sets her apart from others.
