On the excursion to the Great Jasmund Bodden, we are on the lookout for spring mushrooms and tree fungi. We also listen to the local songbirds and identify them with the nature guide.
Our excursion takes us from the Ostseehalle Glowe to Weddeort on the Great Jasmund Bodden.
We are on the lookout for delicious edible morels, verbena and goblet mushrooms. The so-called "indicator plants" such as wild garlic, cowslip and white butterbur grow in the same habitat.
With a bit of luck and expertise, you can already find the first stand mushrooms such as reddish mushrooms, may mushrooms and flake witches.
Another topic is tree fungi, which include valuable medicinal and vital mushrooms. The so-called pharmacy of the forest, we give tips on collecting, preserving and using them.
In the course of our hike, you can also prick up your ears and listen to the songs of the local songbirds. Nature guide Eckhard Berger from Binz is an expert in recognizing bird calls. A special highlight is the sighting of a white-tailed eagle nesting nearby.
After about four hours, we return to the starting point with wonderful impressions.
