Exhibited are pictures of the genres nature - nude - abstract
Klaus Ender (AFIAP)Visual artist of photography, Nude and nature photographer, poet, author
(* 02.04.1939 † 18.03.2021)
Klaus Ender became known for his nude photographs. Aesthetics and natural sensuality were his maxims. It was precisely this natural and discreet style that was influential in the GDR at the time. With the first nude exhibition he initiated in 1975, "Nude & Landscape", he became a pioneer for this genre. His pictures are characterized by the fascination of the female body, without voyeurism and with poetic beauty.
Nature and landscape photography was always an equally important part of his work. The aesthete discovered his love of nature as a child and his love of photography in his youth. His unusual life path often led him against the wind.
"Nature has fascinated me in every facet for 50 years and my inner need is to touch others with my pictures. Silence is very important to me and wherever possible, it becomes visible in my pictures. I hate noise, dirt and gigantism and don't follow any fashion trends. A small pond, a grove or the square meter of my mini studio is usually enough for me to "completely dissolve" in the realm of nature with the help of a few seeds, leaves or flowers." Klaus Ender
His special eye for the quiet wonders creates a profound effect. The result is breathtaking nature studies. His inexhaustible creativity allowed him to rediscover and depict colors, shapes and compositions again and again - whether nudes or landscapes, whether nature studies or techniques such as infrared or abstract. His pictorial language always remains poetic, profound and touching. Since 2002, Ender has turned to poetry again, writing poems and aphorisms and founding his own publishing house. In his books, word and image merge into one.
All the pictures in this exhibition can be purchased. Visitors can also look forward to a large repertoire of poetry cards, nude books, poetry and aphorism picture books by Klaus Ender, including the "Nude & Landscape" calendar for 2025 - an anniversary edition containing exclusively photographs from the first show in 1975, as well as the "Very Personal Annual Companion" with very personal and moving poems.
