Story time with the Japanese storytelling theater Kamishibai
Storytelling theater "Snow White and Rose Red"
Fairy tale lesson with the Japanese storytelling theater Kamishibai
In the middle of winter, a bear knocks on Snow White and Rose Red's door. The two lovely sisters take him in. When spring arrives, Snow White and Rose Red help a dwarf out of mortal danger. But he only "thanks" them with wild insults and betrayal. And so the sisters themselves end up in danger! How good that the bear comes to the rescue ...
Kamishibai is Japanese and means paper theater, it is a kind of picture showcase, a kind of television without electricity, with which fairy tales were traditionally told from village to village in Japan. Today, the picture showcase is used for language development, including interactive reading and storytelling in libraries, daycare centers and schools. The children can see the illustrations in the showcase and describe what they see and "continue" the story themselves.
