Reading and discussion of the bestseller with actor Martin Neuhaus and neurologist Dr. Werner Klöpfer

A powerful story can decide elections and save lives, but it can also trigger wars and cement injustice. In their bestseller "Erzählende Affen", Samira El Ouassil and Friedemann Karig trace this ambivalent power of influence using important narratives from antiquity to the present day. And they show which narratives endanger us today and why we need new ones. How can climate change be narrated in a way that urges us to act? Which myths of superiority give rise to racism and anti-Semitism? Stories are a crucial part of our socialization. They permeate politics, media and culture, teach us, entertain us, seduce us and influence our perception of reality - from Greek dramas to Netflix series.

BUND Schwerin would like to provide insights into the book and get into conversation with visitors.

Admission is free.
