Italian and German solo music of the 17th century
Georg Lutz - bass
Irina Kisselova - violin
Klaus Eichhorn - organ
In the 16th century, ensemble music flourished, especially in the vocal field. As the age of the basso continuo began, Italy provided the impetus for the solo use of individual voices, which spread from southern and central Germany to the north in the early Baroque period. A particularly outstanding example is the virtuoso cantata "Mein Herz ist bereit" by Nikolaus Bruhns, which forms the crowning finale of this concert. Baroque music specialists Irina Kisselova, Georg Lutz and Prof. Klaus Eichhorn will perform works by Castello, Corelli, Biber, Bruhns and others.
