On the theme of "A musical journey through time - 500 years of music in Europe", the musicians from the Schwerin region will present musical rarities from the Renaissance to the 20th century. The moderated concert program will feature historical instruments such as the lute, tenor crumhorn and
keyed fiddle (nyckelharpa) rarely heard works from European music history.
The program includes compositions by T. Arbeau, J. Dowland, T.
Morley, G.P. Telemann and A. Tansman. The instrumental chamber music of well-known and less popular composers of the European Renaissance and Baroque reflects the colorfulness and diversity of European music of the last 500 years, before the concert evening ends with Celtic & Nordic folk.
