The play A war has been raging for twenty years now, and in the end it will even last thirty, devastating large parts of Mecklenburg. Only the safe walls of the residential towns still offer their inhabitants some protection in these times.
But here, on the banks of the Müritz, the land marshal has had the gates closed, as always solely concerned with his own advantage. Town servant Balthasar, however, takes pity on a young woman and lets her in, and a mysterious treasure map falls into his hands.
Word quickly spreads - and soon everyone is on the lookout for the hidden treasure. Of course, the greedy land marshal gets wind of the matter and does everything in his power to bring the treasure into his possession. When an unscrupulous gang of robbers gets involved, it is time for the masked avenger to intervene to save the inhabitants of the residential town from further mischief and to track down the rightful owner of the map.
The Müritz saga has been played at the Waren open-air theater since 2006. Tickets for the theatrical spectacle are available at the Waren (Müritz) information center telephone 03991 747790 or online.
