Together with the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN), we invite you to a marine garden talk at the MEERESMUSEUM. MEERESMUSEUM | Choir of the Katharinenhalle November 14, 2024 | 5 to 7 pm | Admission free, registration required
With their "underwater gardens", oceans play a central role in the global climate system. Species-rich, intact oceans are able to store huge amounts ofCO2. It is therefore particularly important to protect these marine ecosystems.
Sabine Riewenherm, President of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN), and Prof. Dr. Burkard Baschek, Director of the German Oceanographic Museum, will talk about the role of the oceans in the global climate system on November 14. The focus will be on the species and habitats in the German North Sea and Baltic Sea as well as the conservation and restoration of these marine ecosystems.
Registration via the website of the BfN is required.
