Poetry in the rhododendron park
The Lyrikbuche is an event based on the idea of turning the park into a meeting place for writers and poets. It is to become a place of inspiration and exchange for poetry enthusiasts, writers, residents and guests. Poems will be recited in the park, written works will be examined for their essence, texts will be read and discussed.
People meet under the overhanging canopy of a copper beech, the Lyrikbuche. This continues the tradition in which Graal-Müritz was an inspiration and haven of peace for many writers such as Erich Kästner, Franz Kafka, Hans Fallada and Ullrich Grasnick.
Guests and locals, writers and those who want to become writers, meet every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Rhododendron Park to maintain the tradition and recite poems they have written themselves. You are very welcome. Bring along your favorite poem and recite it.
Tip: On October 23, 2024, there will be a special poetry book as part of the Wild Week.
