On 27.12.2025 at 16:00, pianists Ulrike Mai and Lutz Gerlach will give a piano concert "between the years" at the Kunsthalle Kühlungsborn entitled "Pianorama". Even though Christmas is already over, the last Christmas carols will be played on this occasion, combined with a musical look back and forward to the past and coming year. Starting with Johann Sebastian Bach, the musical journey takes us from classical music to jazz and into the present day. The two pianists will also be presenting tracks from their brand new CD release "Da draußen die Sterner" for the first time in MV.
The classical pianist Ulrike Mai studied her craft in Rostock and Berlin and is now one of the best-known artists in her genre in northern Germany. The pianist and composer Lutz Gerlach has released more than 60 CD productions and music books with his own projects. Born in Berlin, he is described by the specialist press as a "jazz-influenced romantic" who transports his audience into "dream worlds". Both artists have also made a name for themselves in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with their extraordinary concert events on the "Hohe Ufer" in Ahrenshoop, at "Sailing Piano" in Kühlungsborn and at the "Sunset Piano Concert" on the beach in Dierhagen.
