"Young talents in Ludwigslust -extra!" - With artists from the Ludwigslust International Music Academy
Following last year's great response from the audience, the Schlossverein's May concert will for the second time provide a platform for outstanding young talents who are associated with the Ludwigslust International Music Academy, which takes place in the summer.
At the concert on May 17, the young ensemble "Baltic Quintett" Rostock will present itself for the first time in Ludwigslust. The five musicians come from Schwerin and Rostock, among other places, and all study at the Rostock University of Music and Drama (hmt). They formed a permanent ensemble last year out of the joy of playing together and immediately won a prize at the hmt Rostock chamber music competition in June 2024.
The colorful program and the great joy of playing of the five musicians promise to put the audience in a relaxed early summer mood on the eve of the Baroque Festival in the castle park. In addition to baroque works by François Couperin, the program ranges from classical music to the overture of "Die Fledermaus" by J. Strauss, a Hungarian dance by Brahms and concludes with a tango.
