A lecture in the series "Talking about Friedrich"
Based on Caspar David Friedrich's major works "Monk by the Sea" (1808-10) and "Abbey in the Oak Forest" (1809-10), the painting technique of this important landscape painter was scientifically and systematically recorded for the first time. The results of this multi-year research project show us a somewhat different Friedrich and once again demonstrate the importance of art-technological research, which also makes an important contribution to understanding Caspar David Friedrich's artistic creative process. Speaker: Kristina Mösl Moderation: Prof. Dr. Kilian Heck
