Hits of the 50's and 60's
LOLLIPOP is an expression of musical joie de vivre and a way of life that leaves the past behind and combines curiosity with new ways of living;
a symbiosis of an attitude to life and a music that stands for new beginnings.
Rock'n'roll, the most popular music of the 50s and 60s in the USA, quickly spilled over into Europe and conquered the rebellious youth hungry for entertainment. People
in a petticoat or with a pinafore, people enjoyed the hard beat in 4/4 time, which was so different from the rhythms they had been used to.
Nobody wanted to be left behind. The fashion industry took the lead and dragged other industries with it. The lollipop was born - still a household name today. Dance clubs
saw the light of day and this new rhythm, whether in the nightclub or the dance bar, conquered the hearts of millions.
In the LOLLIPOP concert, 5 smart musicians bring to life not only the hits of Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry, but also German-language classics by Peter Kramer.
German classics by Peter Kraus, Gus Backus, Drafi Deutscher and Connie Francis are brought back to life on stage. The magic of the hot rhythms spills over
also spills over into the last theater series.
