Maritime and folk music in the Kurhausgarten Warnemünde
The Rostock & Warnemünde Tourist Office invites you to a musical afternoon in the Kurhausgarten Warnemünde. On August 7, 2022 with Captain Alfred.
"Cast off" is the motto when "Captain Alfred" sails across the seven seas with his music steamer. He is known for his Elbe sailor, full beard and his BSO (chest symphony orchestra). He quickly connects with the audience and the feeling for our Nordic homeland that he conveys in his songs is genuine.
The singer, musician and composer Alfred Sitte alias Käpt`n Alfred is not only known in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the maritime and folk music scene. His songs are also played on radio stations in Bremen, Hamburg and southern Germany. On TV he has appeared in programs on N3, ZDF and ARD such as: Kein schöner Land, Sonntagskonzert, Freut euch des Nordens, Bi uns to Hus ...
With a melodious voice, spirited and dynamic, he interprets his own compositions and well-known songs from his extensive repertoire. Songs about the land, the sea and the people who live here have brought Captain Alfred his success. He always attaches great importance to a regional reference. This can be seen in his successful songs such as: "Mien Inselland, Island of Rügen ist nicht nur die Insel, Unter vollen Segeln, Dörpklatsch, Lop man tau, Land am Meer, Wir wandern auf dem Deich, Ich will nicht mehr ..." but you will also hear traditional evergreens from Hans Albers to Freddy Quinn ... which Käpt`n Alfred interprets in his unmistakable way. His current album: "Ich bin ein Nordlicht".
