Full big band sound from "Amt 44" in the Warnemünde Kurhaus garden on June 12, 2022
The Rostock & Warnemünde Tourist Board invites you to a musical afternoon in the Kurhausgarten Warnemünde.
When the 20 musicians of the conservatory's big band take their places on June 12, 2022 at 3.30 pm, the concert shell will be well filled. Five saxophones, three trombones, a bass clarinet, five trumpets, piano, guitar, bass and drums will create the typical big band sound together. The theme tune will be "Tentakel" from the old TV series
"The invisible visor".
The players of the instruments are still schoolchildren, students or have been working for some time. They are all united by the joy of playing songs in a big band that can not only get into your ears, but also into your legs. This has been proven by their concerts in the past, when swing dancers spontaneously moved to the music. Swing, rock'n roll and jazz rock classics make up the rest of the program. In addition to the instrumental soloists, a young female singer gives the band its special touch. The band is led by Uwe Murek. He is a saxophone teacher at the Rostock Conservatory, the "Amt 44" of the Hanseatic and University City of Rostock.
Let us invite you to a concert after which you will go through the day feeling more exhilarated.
Keep swinging!
