Robbie Doyle, Barry Nelson and Sean Sands - A Celebration of Saint Patrick two of the most renowned musicians on the scene accompany Robbie Doyle on his tour

Robbie Doyle is an Irish folk singer and entertainer born in the village of Ballyhale in County Kilkenny. He spent his childhood first on the Atlantic coast of West Clare and later in West Waterford, two counties where Irish traditional music is very much alive. During the folk revival of the 1970s, Robbie was a well-known musician on the scene, particularly in and around Dublin. Over the past forty years, he has given numerous concerts all over the world, recorded his own albums and worked as a guest musician on the projects of various artists, such as the German singer-songwriter Reinhard Mey. Robbie's trademarks are his young-at-heart, expressive and beautiful voice and his winning Irish humor. He also plays the bodhrán (Irish frame drum), tin whistle and harmonica.

Barry Nelson hails from Belfast in County Antrim and is one of the longest serving players still active on the Irish folk music scene. He began his career towards the end of the 1960s and was one of the co-founders of the legendary band "Corrib Folk" in 1972. In 1974, he went to the US, where he gave a concert at the White House with "Corrib Folk" for the then President Jimmy Carter. Barry has played countless concerts all over the world during his long career, from Ireland to Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Canada and the USA. He currently runs the traditional music sessions at Roarty's Bar in Glencolumbkille, Co. Donegal.

Sean Sands is also from Belfast and started his career in the mid 70's with his brother Bobby and their friend Tom Louden. Towards the end of the 70s, he founded the band "Coolin" before moving to the USA in the early 80s and establishing himself as a solo artist in New York and Boston. As such, he performed as the opening act for "The Barleycorn", "The Wolftones" and Christy Moore, among others. In the mid-80s he joined Barry Nelson and the band "Corrib Folk" before returning to Ireland in the early 90s. Here he played for some time with the band "Blackthorn". Together with Barry Nelson and Robbie Doyle, he founded the band "Men O' The West", with whom he toured Germany, Denmark and Sweden before resuming his career as a solo artist. Sean is a founding member of the band "Celtic Heritage" and has recorded three solo albums to date.
