The Rügen Literature Days are entering their third round this fall. The island can once again look forward to big names this year. There will be a shore sermon and a reading at the KÖNIGSSTUHL on Sunday, 10.11.2024.
Literature Days in Sassnitz from November 8 - 10, 2024
From November 8 to 10, 2024, the port city of Sassnitz welcomes renowned authors to the literature festival under the motto: "LANDNAHME - how we see landscape".
11:00 a.m. - Reading: THERESA STEIGLEDER reads: "Kosegarten" - a new riverside sermon
220 years ago, Ludwig Gotthard Kosegarten held his famous shore sermons on Rügen, which have lost none of their topicality. The young Greifswald author and slam poet Theresa Steigleder has written a sermon based on Kosegarten especially for the Literature Days and will deliver it on the Skywalk over the chalk cliffs.
12/00 READING: EBERHARD RATHGEB reads from: "Maler Friedrich"
Perhaps the best book of the season about Caspar David Friedrich. Rathgeb provides a catchy introduction to his world of ideas and skillfully reflects our view of his paintings today. An event in one of the most important landscapes of Romanticism in the KÖNIGSSTUHL National Park Center
