You are cordially invited to the next book discussion of the Stralsund Literature Circle at the City Library, Badenstraße 13, on November 7, 2024 at 7:00 pm. Martina Hefter's novel "Hey good morning, how are you?" will be discussed.
On Thursday, November 7 at 7 p.m., the Stralsund Literature Circle will meet to discuss Martina Hefter's novel "Hey guten Morgen, wie geht es dir?" at Stralsund City Library. Nominated for the German Book Prize 2024, the book is about the protagonist Juno, who takes care of her husband Jupiter, who has MS and lives with her in Leipzig. When she is courted on Instagram by a lovescammer from Nigeria who speculates on the loneliness and money of older women, an exchange ensues - it becomes increasingly unclear where "real" life takes place and how "real" love can actually be recognized.
The Book Prize jury wrote in a commentary: "Martina Hefter tells of Juno's inner turmoil in an impressive way: close to everyday life and reflective, life-smart and poetic, tender and unsentimental."
