Library pub, music magic and more

The first nationwide Night of the Libraries is also taking place at the Uwe Johnson Library. In addition to the already popular and much sought-after action days, there will now be an action night.
The Güstrow pub institution SchnickSchnack is moving into the library for one night - so you can read and chat in a cozy atmosphere with a tasty bite and a glass of something tasty with or without a twist. In the
reading café offers the best of the virtual readings from 2020 - 2022 in a cozy atmosphere. You can also try out VR gaming, play Star Wars pinball, have fun at the arcade game table or at checkers and Mensch-Ärger- Dich-Nicht - and magically play a musical instrument without touching it. Jens Wenzel, a theremin player, will also be on hand that evening to demonstrate the unusual musical instrument and give visitors the chance to try it out for themselves. The library will also be presenting its theremin, which will be available to borrow from the Bibliothek-der-Dinge from April. With matching hands-on rewards for the brave ones at the try-out station and personalized laser cutting.

So make a note, reserve a table and be there. In addition to the tables that can be reserved, there are of course also standing tables and there will also be a place for last-minute bookings!
