Canadian blues singer and European Blues Awards "Best Vocalist" winner
Like her early role models - from Bob Dylan to Muddy Waters - the Canadian bandleader is an excellent songwriter, winning the auspicious Compo 10 International Blues Songwriting Competition back in 2006 (Finland) and receiving recognition for her albums such as 2013's The Lily and Breaking Free (2016) in American Downbeat Magazine's "Top Albums Of The Year". On the road with Ruf Records Blues Caravan (2016) as well as Jane Lee Hookers (2017) she demonstrates that she is without a doubt one of the best blues rock singers.
Canadian blues singer and European Blues Awards "Best Vocalist" winner LAYLA ZOE has released her album "The World Could Change" on Henrik Freischlader's record label Cable Car Records to great critical acclaim.
Give Layla Zoe a stage and she will show you magic. In a world of choreography and autotune, she's an artist who does it the old-fashioned way: she digs deep, conjures up a smoke-and-whiskey vocal, leaves it all on stage and sends her breathless fans out into the night to spread the word. "For me," says Layla, "there's nothing more satisfying than being on stage with my band and giving my heart to the fans through the music. I love writing songs, I enjoy being in the studio, but the live shows are why I love my job so much."
Layla has performed at some of the biggest blues, jazz and folk festivals in the world, released thirteen albums to date, shared the stage with some of the greatest blues legends of our time and continues to impress audiences around the world with her humble yet passionate personality and stage presence.
