Artistic perspectives in screen printing
In March 2018, the traditional artistic printing techniques of relief printing, intaglio printing, planographic printing, through-printing and their hybrid forms were officially entered in the Federal Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage, which has been maintained by the German UNESCO Commission since 2013, following a joint application by the BBK professional association and the Museum für Druckkunst Leipzig. This year, the Kunstverein zu Rostock is once again responding to the call to take part in the "Day of Printmaking" initiative with an event and thus make a contribution to the appreciation of the art of printing. After focusing on intaglio, relief and planographic printing in recent years, this year's theme is screen printing.
