Andreas Malessa, journalist and theologian, will make us think and laugh with his humorous texts. Uli Schwenger, piano virtuoso, enchants us with gospel, jazz and Christmas carols. A relaxed evening full of music, humor and Advent spirit.
Advent and Christmas are supposed to be romantic and contemplative. But preparing for the "feast of the family" takes the last nerve out of many people. A piano virtuoso and a "goldsmith of words", on the other hand, guarantee pure relaxation. And listening pleasure! With cabaret presentations and touching impulses of life-wise spirituality. With gospel hymns, jazz classics and Christmas carols in a new guise. The guests hum, sing and laugh along as journalist and theologian Andreas Malessa presents thoughts that reveal self-deprecating humor, wise life experience and a vital relationship with God. A feast for the brain, heart and diaphragm.
Andreas Malessa is a radio journalist for ARD broadcasters and the author of non-fiction books, biographies and satirical short stories. His talk shows and documentaries have made him known as a competent and humorous interlocutor. He wrote the musicals "Amazing Grace" and "Martin Luther King". The Protestant theologian is a much sought-after expert speaker on cultural, socio-ethical and ecclesiastical topics
Uli Schwenger was inspired to sing gospel and soul music as a teenager by black singing stars such as Andrae Crouch, Jessy Dixon and Calvin Bridges and consequently accompanied choirs such as "Chorlight", the gospel choirs "Chocolate" and "Celebration" just as congenially at church concerts, pop festivals and TV productions as he did, for example, at performances of the musical "The Gospel".performances of the musical "Amazing Grace", for example. His virtuoso and warm-hearted playing of great piano pieces from J.S. Bach to Keith Jarrett qualifies him as the perfect accompanist for literary concert readings.
